Hi, I'm Jesty.👋
Jesty World is an evolving exploration across capital, technology, culture, and community, a space where I document ideas, observations, and lessons from the worlds I explore.
A garden of thoughts: essays, notes, and reflections capturing curiosity, current explorations, worldview, and evolving perspectives.
My work revolves around understanding how ideas, people, capital, and technology come together to shape markets, influence culture, build infrastructure, and create institutions over time.
From the early days in Nairobi's innovation ecosystem to contributing in communities and ventures across Africa, my journey has been guided by the question:
How do ecosystems grow, and what allows them to thrive?
Along the way, I have explored infrastructure, venture capital, entrepreneurship, and community building through supporting founders, engaging operators, researching markets, and learning from people building the next generation of companies and institutions.
Beyond systems and ventures, I am fascinated by ART, creativity and human expression. Central to this is the love of music, frequent gallery visits to conversations with artists/creators about different perspectives and interpretations of the world.
Spoiler alert: every human being is an artist. Of course, living and experiencing life is, in many ways, ART.
Here is where these explorations come together.
Always open to engaging, chatting, collaborating, and discovering new perspectives. Drop a DM or reach out via email or Twitter — those are the best ways to connect. Prost!
